Why British People Would Rather Spend Money on Phones Instead Then Vacation

This is has been quite a bad year for the economy, people have been cutting down on their spending, the credit crunch has really struck everyone and a lot of families have lost their job as well as their home.

The travel and holidays industry has suffered quite a bit there are numerous families that have not even contemplated going away this year, simply because they cannot afford it. But I am personally going to tell you a story that I experienced as to why British people would much rather spend their money on a new cell phone.

Ok my phone had had it and I was topping up around 40 per month, so I decided to myself why not instead go and get a free handset and free minutes for that price. So I made my way to the local shop. To my surprise there were dozens of people literally ready and waiting to get a contract telephone. I really wanted to keep my current phone number and have the ability to 0800 numbers from my mobile. But it simply would not pan out that way.

Anyway when I was speaking to the sales guy he was literally dismayed at how busy the week had been and said it in no way feels like there is a credit crunch going on. After a survey it was shown that 41% would cut down on DIY, 41% on holidays, 16% on TV subscriptions and 10% on broadband services.

An average of £310.71 was spent on average per household on internet services last year, compared to £11.37 in 2007.

So there you have it all in one well formed and great article, you can see the pure amount that technology has developed, and people would rather spend their money and cash on handsets. But if you still fancy a holidays, take a look at this luxury cruises information
