Iphone on TMobile? It is possible. AT&T may soon lose its exclusive service with Apple’s Iphone and its users are quite apprehensive what other mobile networks will be available to offer the tremendous high end mobile technology service of Iphone. The best possible contender being eyed for this new breakthrough is TMobile. Being a GSM carrier, TMobile is a potential carrier for Iphone similar to AT&T. However AT&T is a much larger company compared to TMobile but people are willing to make the big switch.

Apple decides to make a move from being tied down to exclusiveness with AT&T and now scouting for possible network carrier for their phone device. It has been reported that Apple finds it more convenient to offer the privilege to TMobile as the mobile carrier has compatible GSM properties as AT&T. In this sense, Apple no longer needs to create a new Iphone to suit TMobile’s GSM features. This great convenience takes more advantage than would Apple have to do to create a new Iphone to suit with other network’s GSM functionality services.

There is a slim chance however that Apple’s Iphone will become exclusive with TMobile network. With over 71 million subscribers of AT&T they remain as a valuable network provider for the Apple’s Iphone. Wider market distribution is more productive if both AT&T and TMobile networks are commissioned to become the product’s carriers.

TMobile and Iphone tandem provides better options among Iphone users as long as they are in the coverage area of the network. 3rd party software is required to unlock the Iphone to use on Tmobile network. The downside however include the limited access on 2G bands as only available with TMobile’s network coverage, a slower speed and the absence of the simultaneous voice and data service. Apple decides to retain the original EDGE based Iphone which allows users to access 3G bands with AT&T but limited access from TMobile. But this limited access on 3G band from TMobile to some is better than the constrained coverage of network provided by AT&T.

Tmobile hardware on Iphone provides a distinctive feature that is limited only to 2G band in contrast to the 3G band offered by AT&T. Other limited feature of Iphone on Tmobile is the absence of voice mail. But more often the price for paying as a subscriber for Tmobile is relatively lower which basically provides better access to a cost effective usage of Iphone mobile service. Unlocking the Iphone to access Tmobile network then again will also void the warranty of the phone.

While there are pros and cons for the availability of the Iphone on Tmobile it does provides better option for Iphone users to take advantage of other benefits of using Tmobile and Iphone altogether.
