Save Money With An International Calling Card

Not long ago I went to Spain (Moraira holiday) and I have a few tricks I use to get cheaper calls. The first thing you need to check is that your phone is GSM compatible and is also unlocked. What this means is that you can use any type of SIM card you want and still access the local phone network. I took my camera phone and got some Moraira Villa Images also.

With a GSM phone you now have a few money saving options to take. The first is to get yourself an international SIM card from STA. This premium SIM card will cost you $9 but also comes with $10 worth of prepaid call credit. What is great about this SIM is that all your friends back home can call you free of charge for 30 minutes. This is great to save people having to pay massive fees to get hold of you in an emergency. Have the card delivered to your house before you set off and avoid any hassle of picking one up whilst on the go.

With a Happy Movil offer an easy to use SIM card for 10 euros. You get the card with 5 euros already on it and per minute costs start from just 5.8 cents. That is enough for 71 minutes of continuous call time, which should last you for a weeks holiday.

Finally using a Vodafone SIM and calling card you are able to get a full hours worth of calls for just 28c. 1.2c a minute is the usual cost of a call back to where you live, which when compare to the others is a good price. In addition to this Vodafone is just one of four networks operating in Spain and will give you great network coverage throughout the country. Which is great at stopping your leisure holidays turning into walking holidays.
