Quick Reviews Of Popular Android Smartphones

We have seen many revolutions in technology sector. From the rise of personal computing to the explosion of the internet, technology is constantly in a state of revolution and innovation. We are currently in the next big technology wave: the smartphone. In just a few years, smartphones have essentially become pocket-sized computers. Leading the revolution is Google’s Android platform. Big name manufactures such as Motorola and HTC have all jumped on the Android bandwagon because it’s a free and open source platform.

Motorola Droid X - Motorola has always been a leader in the smartphone niche, and with the Motorola Droid X they are raising the bar again. The Droid X is following the new trend where bigger is better. The screen is big enough so doing things such as web browsing and emailing are more comfortable. The Droid X has shifted away from the traditional form factor, and has opted for a smaller build. The narrower phone is actually a positive because it allows for better grip. The display is defiantly a step up from previous models, but is not enough to knock you off your feet. The Motorola Droid X is fast and crisp.

HTC Evo 4G - HTC has been on an amazing streak releasing phones that have been huge hits in the market. The HTC Evo 4G is no exception. Most commonly known for being the first 4G phone on the market, the Evo brings a lot to the table. It defiantly has enough processing power with the Snapdragon processor buried within it to run any app in the Market Place without a hitch. The Evo is centered around a large, beautiful multi-touch screen. The software is built off of Google’s innovated Android platform with HTC adding their own flare to it. Ultimately, this phone will be a big hit and not only because of the 4G.

HTC Incredible - HTC has really stepped up their game by releasing smartphone that consumers simply love. The HTC Incredible is yet another hot phone that they have in their strong arsenal. Just as the name suggests, the Incredible really is incredible. The Incredible is running Android 2.1 software underneath its own custom UI. It packs an 8 megapixel camera which isn’t as good as dedicated shooters, but is much better than what you’ll find in other smartphone. The Incredible has a nice 480 X 800 AMOLED screen that is crystal clear and a joy watch videos on. All in all, it’s one of the best smartphones on the market right.

Google Nexus One - The Nexus One was beautifully designed. The AMOLED display leaves nothing lacking. The Nexus One runs Google’s Android 2.1 software powered by the capable Qualcomm Snapdragon. It’s very fast and responsive and will outperform most smartphone out there when it comes to speed. The Nexus One has a 5 megapixel camera which takes pictures and shoots video surprisingly well. The Nexus one does lack in a couple of areas such as battery life, but overall the positives vastly outweigh the negatives.
